Arbeitsgruppen sind der Versuch, die Aufgabenteilung thematisch zu gliedern. Im Idealfall wird die anfallende Arbeit besser verteilt, es ist einfacher, neue Projekte einfach zu realisieren und es ermöglicht so, Menschen die Möglichkeit zu geben, sich aktiv für die Bewegung einzusetzen. Dies geschieht sowohl auf nationaler als auch regionaler Ebene. Es besteht jedoch die Gefahr mit zu vielen AGs die Kräfte zu stark zu verzetteln und so Burn-Out-Aktivismus zu fördern.

Thematische Aufteilung

Leider müssen wir feststellen, dass diese Aufteilung gar nicht so trivial ist, weil verschiedene Bedingungen erfüllt sein müssen:

  • Eine Arbeitsgruppe sollte sich thematisch klar auszeichnen, also eine Identität erhalten, sonst wird viel Arbeit doppelt erledigt.
  • Es muss klar sein, welche Arbeitsgruppe welche Dinge macht, sonst entsteht viel Misstrauen.
  • Arbeitsgruppen dürfen das Aufkeimen neuer Ideen nicht verbürokratisieren, weil sonst die Grasrootstrukur der Bewegung gefährdet ist.
  • Die Kommunikation unter den Arbeitsgruppen, sowohl innerhalb einer Regionalgruppe als auch zwischen AGs mit ähnlichen Themen aus verschiedenen Regionen, muss gewährleistet sein.
  • Arbeitsgruppen sollten ihre Kompetenzen durchs Plenum legitimieren, dann aber weitgehend autonom sein – so kann die anfallende Arbeit des grossen Plenums reduziert werden.
